How do you adjust the pad adjustment screw? Pump up the brakes and Bottom it completely till it stops and back it out a half turn?

I believe they would actually have fewer failures if they used BOTH bolts to hold the tube to the pump. The way they have only applies pressure to one side and that allows the seal to fail on the other side. Both being sealed would keep the presure equal all the way around.

Super ingenious idea and procedure. Moroso sells a new metal bracket that does the same thing and doesn't require any grinding of the oil pickup tube.

Thanks guys….my 2024 Ranger 570 has been making the popping/clacking sound ever since I had it. I just did the 25 hour service and was getting ready to take to my stealership to see what they had to say. You saved me a trip, not to mention they may well have screwed up something else anyway 😂

What oil brand and weight do you recommend for a 200s ?

Hey, had this happen in my 2001 LS suburban 5.3 at 210K. Was living in Libby Montana at the time 2019. RT automotive Robin Green Libby Yes, the pump front end under timing cover, they the old guys tricked the repair, rather than dropping the front end 4x4, unbolted the passenger side axle tube dropped it several inches pulled the pan replaced the pump and oil pan (had a crack and leaking). Bolted back up no alinement necessary. The 5.3's from 160k to 180k started leaking everywhere, knock sensors, great motors, liked your modification of oil pick up demo clever.

I'm working on this job currently. Got the lower unit off but the shaft doesn't seem to want to rotate in either direction. Any advice?

I don't have a press so I use a little grease a socket that fits the outside edge of the bearing and tap it in with a hammer.

Hey dray I gotta 1983 200e been sitting 25 years! Got the bike fired up! Took it down the road 300m was working great n now just spiting n sputtering! Changed the plug! Brand new carb! Went through the wiring before the bike was running! The bike will idle but sound like a turd when giving it fuel! Was wondering if a stuck intake valve would make the bike run like this! Any help would be awesome! Just trying to bring the ol girl back to life! It’s gotta lotta centimental value! Was my grandpas bike I grew up on! If there’s a stuck or dirty valve is there any way I can work around not tearing the engine apart to fix the issue? Thanks in advance for any advice you could book a fella up with! Thanks for this video, parts 1&2. Showed some things I was not aware of. What year model was this motor. I have a 96' I think. Mine doesn't have the connecting nuts on the drive shaft.

What year is this motor? Mine is ELPTO 2006 50 hp two stroke and my shaft and direction of impeller fins seems to be going in opposite direction vs this video.
